Shaft Torsion Tester

A customer needed a gage machine programmed using Siemens as requested by their customer. They had brought me in for the controls design/programming/installation of a system capable of measuring the degree angle of flange welded onto a shaft. The flange needed to be non-destructive tested for integrity and measured again for deviation within a tolerance. This project uses a load cell on the end of a servo driven linear actuator to apply a force on the flange. A Keyence GT2 air actuated touch probe is used for measuring the degrees of rotation of the flange in relation to the shaft.
