Flywheel Bearing Press

Flywheel Bearing Press. A customer needed a machine's controls designed and installed for a press for installing a bearing into flywheel. They needed the load monitored for the force of the bearing being pressed and position for depth verified. This press utilizes a load cell on the tooling for the bearing and linear positioning LVDT for position feedback. A Vektek 1-HP Advanced Workholding Pump is used for the hydraulic power and is integrated into the PLC for control.
